We really are one big happy family here in the Cook Islands. As different cultures migrate across oceans, we have seen our parataito become multi-cultural. While we embrace all the new cultures that we have come to know and love, now more than ever our tamariki (children) need to be immersed in our peu (culture) and reo (language.)
We here at Aunty Here’s Books know how hard it can be to learn our reo Māori in this modern day Cook Islands. It is our dream to one day live in a world where our reo Māori Kuki Airani is flourishing.
We believe that the only way to achieve this dream is to introduce Māori into our homes. With our range of customisable children’s books, we can make learning our reo fun and exciting!
